Anyone remember that?  Is it the version you knew, or do you have variations.  For some reason it has been stuck in my head this morning.  Not even because I have kids, either, just a flashback from my own childhood that I won't be sharing with them anytime soon.

May have been a girl thing. I *think* we used to jump rope to that, though the delight was in the almost bad words.

The versions sung when I was growing up (in Nassau County on Long Island) was a little longer and ended differently. And, yes, it WAS a "girls thing," but I've got a good head for lyrics ... even for songs I didn't particularly like. Anyway, our version was the same as your right up until ...

Seeing a friend (and ADULT) has been a highlight of my day thus far.

If you run into any problems getting the rest of the Outlander books, I have them all right here in my bedroom. Just holler.

I don't remember that one, but I do remember and have taught Mark the "Shame, shame, shame! I don't wanna go to Mexico no more, more, more..."

He and Lily think it is hysterical!!

yes - girl thing - I knew that one - and in Nashville, we also had the cows in the pasture making chocolate pies (no lemonade though) - and I think we did this to the "handclapping" thing... you know?

Where you sit indian style facing each other and kind of clap and crossover? I never really learned the rules to that. I didn't know when you were supposed to cross, or use both hands or do the tricky bits. Another example of how I've *NEVER* been a cool kid. :P
